    City Council Elections
    Dear DSFNA Members,

Attached are City Council candidate responses to the September 2003 PAN Questionnaire. You will notice that the attachment has been organized to restate a particular question from the questionnaire, followed by the response of each of the candidates in alphabetical order by last name. This will allow voters to compare the candidates with respect to each issue.

We have not yet heard from Edmund Power, and will forward his response to you as soon as we receive it.

Please note: No attempt was made to correct misspellings.

    Thank you,

Annette Ashton, Doug Moran, Karen White

    City Council Elections

    Dear DSFNA Members,

Please be sure to attend a City Council Candidate Forum on Thursday, October 2 from 7:00 - 9:15 p.m. at the Palo Alto Art Center Auditorium, 1313 Newell Road. Neighborhoods co-sponsoring this event include College Terrace, Community Center, Crescent Park, Duveneck/St. Francis, Leland Manor and Old Palo Alto. Jay Thorwaldson, Editor of the Palo Alto Weekly, has graciously agreed to moderate our forum.

To elicit candidate responses on issues of interest and concern to neighborhoods city-wide, leaders of Palo Alto Neighborhoods recently sent City Council candidates a written questionnaire. Candidates' responses will be e-mailed to you, posted on the DSFNA website, and sent to local newspapers early this week. The 10/2 forum will provide a sharper focus, addressing the specific interests/concerns of residents who live in co-sponsoring neighborhoods. So please bring your questions!

I hope to see you all on October 2 at 7:00 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) at the Art Center Auditorium.

    Karen White
