Will sirens work? Who needs special help in evacuating, if there's
flooding? How can we organize our neighborhood for effective emergency
response?
Please join us for an important meeting to learn about flood-related
neighborhood preparedness and flood control issues as we enter the rainy
season in this, an El Nino year.
Jointly sponsored by the Duveneck/St. Francis and Crescent Park neighborhood
associations, the meeting will include presentations by City of Palo Alto
emergency services personnel and Cynthia D'Agosta, Executive Director,
San Francisquito Creek JPA. Santa Clara Valley Water District representatives
have also been invited to present. But the focus of the meeting will
be neighborhood residents' interests, concerns and questions about flood-related
emergency preparedness and separately, creek-related flood control.
WHEN AND WHERE?
Date: Wednesday, January 15, 2003
Time: 7:00 - 9:00 p.m.
Place: Duveneck Elementary School - Multipurpose Room, 705 Alester
We
hope all DSFNA and CPNA residents will join us for this important, informative
evening.
