Using whatever graphics software you have for your computer (Photoshop especially), create a selfportrait. Use any technique you like:Look in a mirror or don't, abstract or realistic -- doesn't matter which! I've even had some students with no graphics experience (or software!) complete this assignment using word processing shareware -- sort of typewriter art! Some of it surprisingly creative!
So relax, don't worry, and give me that self portrait!
This introductory assignment, besides being a lot of fun, will give me an idea about your particular level of skill, and the software you like to use.
My homework for week one of CO-220.
Scanned photo, KPT filters, and Photo Graphic Edges.
Self portrait done with Adobe Photoshop starting with image on Kodak CD.
Self portrait for Co220: Import photo CD image into
Corel PhotoPaint 6.0, apply a few KPT 2.0 filters to
get an ink-and-pastel-chalk effect, create a mask with
magic wand and paint-on-mask, and slip in a wild
background from KPT Texture Explorer. No, I'm not
actually an electric albino!
They offered me the corner office, the one with the view.
I laughed.
I told them I'd rather have the 21" monitor.
"Not much of a computer head."
